A little fussy, but OH SO WORTH IT. Used scraps of sock yarn (white, yellow) and Einband (red, black) and 2.5 mm square wooden needles (equivalent to 2.25 round).

The wooden square needles were excellent for keeping control of the six tiny starting stitches!
