Notes

made a few little changes, quite pleased with the cuff, minus the poorly thought through transition. wish i’d kept the speckling on the gusset, though. negative arrow panel on the back of the leg.

starting ball weights : 53g shibui, 27g franklin 87g yarrow bloom
finishing ball weights : < 1g shibui, 31g yarrow bloom

jmco 13 ea needle, inc to 35 & began colorwork on first round following final increase

don’t recall how many gusset stitches i created, but i do remember i was traveling & attempting a mini gusset & short row heel like i usually do, only… began it too soon, so rather than rip back i just kept increasing, so not really a mini gusset. but that’s ok. it’ll probably fit better this way… i hope.

didn’t like the tedium of single stitch stripes on the foot so I switched to a negative chart, swapping MC & CC (though still holding YB dominant) very nice, but now I just want to finish & not put in the the time/energy to figure out how many rows to transition to single color. so that’s a bit sloppy.

when CC was dropped away, I flipped the socks inside out so I could k all rather than p all for that beautiful revStst cuff…

decr 1st each needle on first round of 2x2 rib, think I did 11, possibly 13 rounds, then jssbo

these are for feet quite a bit bigger than mine, the socks are slouchy even on my blockers!

going for more lovely FO shots after they arrive with their recipient

you know you need to just knit more socks, right?

update Feb 2021 : these things are Saving my bestbud’s feet in the great Galveston freeze. she hasn’t taken them off for 4 days straight
