Notes

Ended up using less than one skein! I didn’t have enough yarn for long sleeves, but I think this turned out very cute and kimono-like. A practical layering piece. I decided to modify my pattern using simple garter edges/hems. I like the result a lot!
Here are the mods:

-Replaced the reverse stockinette ridge with 3 garter ridges before starting the lattice pattern, and then for the hem, worked 3 garter ridges using smaller needles, and bound off purlwise to create a 4th garter ridge.

-Picked up for front edges using smaller needles (US 4) with a 2/3 ratio (2 sts every 3 rows) for the vertical and slanted edges, and a 1/1 ratio for the horizontal edges (top of sleeves and back neck). (and 1 st per garter ridge for the bottom hem).

-Still using the smaller needles worked 2 garter ridges and bound off purlwise to create the 3rd ridge, until the chest ridge level, then worked 3 sts in garter, then resumed binding off until reaching chest ridge on the other side, worked 3 sts in garter, bound off until the end. Slipped the 3 sts onto a dpn, and joined yarn to work icord ties on each front edge. Added the two other ties as per pattern.

-Sleeves: using smaller size dpn, worked 2 garter ridges in the round, then bound off purlwise for 3rd ridge.
