My starting point was the pattern for the owls sweater that Candacis made for me. Then I added some for the overlapping front and improvised the neckline and armscyes. The sleeves were also improvised, with inspirtion for another pattern that Candacis had made, but for much thinner yarn.

This is the first time that I have knitted the cardigan in one piece.

I think that I should have made the shoulders even narrower so that the puff sleeve rested a little higher on the shoulders. I may unpick the seams and re-do that, though picking up sewn knitted pieces really suck.

The cap was also improvised and I had planned it to be a little larger, but I ran out of grey yarn.
