Newborn size, which is about 8 cm or 3 inches long.
Revision #1 of instruction for my own personal needs Karen Malmgren
What is revised: - (Corrected) switched headers of left sole and right sole, (Corrected) fpdc3tpg to fpdc3tog, minus 1 stitch in row 2, +1 stitch in row 8 of sole (Made for a more defined left and right sole), finish off yarn on row 13 instead of row 14 so knot would not interfere with BLO in toes, start row 14 at center of heel. Added size adjustment notes.
Want to try next time: Still want a narrower sole. On round 1 would like to try dhc instead of dc.
US – I, 5.5mm hook (Use a H hook for a 4 inch long sole)
55 yds Baby Yarn in Main Color, 2 yards each of 2 Contrast Colors (Higher weight yarn and hook for larger size)
Size: Newborn: 8cm/3″ heel to toe (H hook, will get a 4” long sole)
Gauge: 15 sts x 18 rows = 4″ in sc (Changes with yarn weight and hook size)
Special Stitches (click to go to tutorials page): BLO – back loop only; Fpdc – Front post double crochet & Bpdc
– Back post double crochet Front Post Double Crochet 3 Stitches Together (fpdc3tog): (Yo, insert hook in next st as for a fpdc, yo, pull through, yo, pull through 2 loops on hook) 3 times. Yo, pull through all 4 loops on hook.
