I got a flat top the first time I tried to make this hat. I might have not joined each row right. What I ended up doing was instead of hdc I used sc in each row of the written instructions and added rows of plain sc in between the written rows in the instructions until the row that starts with fpdc. (Did you get that?) I can’t give you a row number because it depends on the size hat you want.
