LOVE this pattern. I am joining in a continuous join, which makes fewer ends to darn in hut slightly changes the pricess at the corners. Worked as follows:

  • start by crocheting the edge of the left sice half triangle (up side down bottom triangle in colour A) and continue the edge from left to right along all of the bottom row of triangles(only the bottom edges not the triangles in between) make 2 chains between triangles. N.B. I use the stitch counts and ss / chains mentioned in the pattern, I only note added ss to join an existing edge here.

  • then crochet up the side of the first bottom half triangle (colour B) at the right side edge.

  • crochet down the left side of the bottom half triangle (colour B) and join with a ss around the two ss at the bottom edge

  • crochet back up along the right side of the triangle in colour A and join the edges as described with the left side of bottom triangle B

  • Continue crocheting along the top edge of triangle A

  • crochet down the left side of triangle A and join the bottom seam with a ss

  • crochet up the right side of triangle N and join the edges as described with the left side of triangle A

Repeat the last steps for all triangles, ending at the top of the left side half triangle.

  • repeat for the other rows, except now join the bottoms of the triangles to the previous row directly You will have to choose whether to skip the sides of the left side triangles as a whole and do them last, all along the edge, or finish each row completely and cut and rejoin.
