So many crocodile stitches. So much half-double crochet. So many in-progress photos to add.

I built this from the bottom up, starting with the legs, then adding the shorts, then the midriff, then the upper chest piece. The red detailing on the chest was created separately and sewn into place, and the thigh bands were done later in the project. I crocheted sideways into the stitches on the legs then just worked half-doubles until the thigh bands wrapped around and could be secured on the other side. the discs were sewn on individually.

The gauntlets were more crocodile stitch topped with half double crochet, and then the disks were sewn on individually.

If I see another yellow crochet disk, it will be too soon.

The belt is made up of seven , double crochet hexagons that were joined with the black trim and then sewn straight to the underoos.

The cape is triple crochet with two raglan increases to create the proper drape. The black cape attachments were added at the end, and they’re half double. The cape attaches to the bodice via Velcro to make it easier to go to the bathroom in the thing.

I will probably sweat through it at the con. It will totally be worth it.
