Meant to be a dress for a graduation shindig, I got behind when I screwed up the skirt and had to start over. It nearly had sleeves, but then I decided I didn’t want to deal with sleeves and created the halter neckline instead. It’s v-stitch at the neck and the waist and double crochets everywhere else.
The neckline was heavily improvised, the knot coming out of a bit of laziness as I neared the end of the project and just wanted a way to jazz it up fast.
Used probably 95% of the skein
What worked well:
The V-stitch detailing came out very well.
The fit at the hips, waist, bust, and thighs is great. It frames me well, and I can still move in it.
The elastic I put in at the waist is an instant shaper that makes it much easier for me to get a good fit.
I love the neckline.
What could be tweaked:
It’s a little loose in the back up top, mostly due to the fact that I didn’t plan for a halter style, so it’s not fitted like a halter style. It doesn’t slip down so far that it ruins the line of the dress, but it annoys me it exists.
