Mods: did an extra repeat, each, of rows 22 & 23. Finished body with 3” of 2x2 rib, rather than lace pattern. For sleeves, p/u 14 sts under arm, skp the first with the last st of the 40 on your st holder in the 1st round; k2tog the last with the first st of the 40 from the st holder in the 1st round. Work sleeves as per rows 23-34 of body, cont. in stockinette for 6”, work 2 dec., work another 4 rows, dec. 1, begin 2x2 rib for 2-1/2”, b.o. in rib.
Errata: rows 22 and 23 repeat, then are followed by “row 23”.
Feb 16/13: I’m in the process of purchasing the pattern as I type this. Update: I didn’t realize that this top has a lacework edge at the neckline. It’s fiddly as Hell to make and doesn’t even seem to have the decency to show up on the finished project pictures I’ve seen. Is it why the neckline doesn’t seem to lie flat in those pictures? I hope I don’t regret working it. Also, I had to look up “right twist” on YouTube before I could continue. Again, I’m hoping this sweater isn’t going to be a big pain in my backside.
Feb 20/13: I’ve finished the “straightaway” for the bustline, with one extra non-decreasing row.
Feb 22/13: I’ve just got the sleeves left to work. Please forgive the gunked-up mirror; there was no one else at home to take the picture at the time.
Feb 24/13: home stretch! I’ve worked the first sleeve and am in the straightaway for the second sleeve. phew The pictures I took today are surprisingly blue.
Feb 25/13: knitting is done! Blocking will happen tonight.
Mar 2/13: Ah, humid weather, how I loathe thee. So, this sweater is mostly dry now. I’ve uploaded some pictures of me in it. I can see that I need to get back to doing my Pilates. I love this sweater. It’s so pretty, without being cloyingly feminine. Love, love, love.
