Dec 20/24: purchased yarn for this project yesterday evening.

Dec 30/24: was able to make it to the scalloped edge of the white-red transition after the name yesterday (with Loops & Threads Impeccable on US9s), then measured and compared against reference photos. Much too large! Realized I was going to have to work this stocking in sport/DK weight yarn to get close to the gauge achieved in the reference pics, so today started with a trip to Michaels to return the yarn I’d purchased for this project and to purchase yarn which will hopefully bring me much closer to intended gauge. Will also notify David.
