I really, really hated this pattern. I know I used needles a size too big, I knew I made a mistake or two. I knew I was using yarn I hated! All of this contributed to a project I wasn’t invested in, and which I did not enjoy, and therefore I started paying less and less attention. I lost my place a few times. I made mistakes that would be too much trouble to fix. And I figured, eh, who cares? I picked a project I thought was easy in order to learn a new stitch. I mean anything worth doing isn’t necessarily worth doing well if the end result isn’t really as important as the journey, right? I guess? Well, I am pretty sure I learned the brioche stitch. But man. This is a bad, bad hat.
