1/7/10(pm): finished! that was quick. blocking now--pictures tomorrow. pattern was much more well written than i expected… and after some basic cm-to-in conversions, i found myself with a very substantial yet quick and easy hat.

1/7/10(am): saw this pattern yesterday and it is TOO CUTE. pattern is very vague-- the suggested yarn isn’t listed, and i’m not sure how to get ~3 sts/in (64 sts/52cm) on size 8 (5mm) needles so i’m using 11s (8mm) and figuring as long as the gauge is right it will be fine.

about the yarn-- i’m in love with the color and how soft it is, i can’t wait to have a hat out of it!
