After having a look at other folks’ projects (thank you for posting photos, people!) I discovered a great way to edge the blanket - the same pattern stitch! Once you get to the last row, just keep on going. The finish is lovely.

Only my second finished blanket in this stitch. It looks great in the bulky weight yarn.
