What to do with this homespun, now it is done? A long sleeveless cardi. It is chevron. And there are some diamond patches.

Diamond patches

Here is how I made them:

CO 4 stiches by two on each needle:

Round1: knit. I hold the 2 needles folded, together in my hand and knit the stiches with a third needle (continental):
Round 2: 2 times k, increase1, k, increase1,
Round 3: knit,
Round 4: 8 times knit1 , increase1, so now 4 stiches on every needle.
Round 5: knit,
Round 6: 4 times purl1, increase1, purl3, increase1, now 6 stiches on every needle.
Round 7: knit
Round 8: 4 times knit1, increase1, knit5, increase1, now 8 stiches on every needle.
Round 9: purl the first two needles, break the yarn and leave an end long enough to sew it on.
The next row over all is a patterned row, so I do chevron increases and decreases on the patch as well.
