What a knitting adventure. I started knitting my homespun in pink and purple. I did not get enough yarn for a sweater. So I had to adjust my design idea. When some progress was done, I dyed some fiber in yellow and spun more.
I knit long stripes, which joined later in yellow. Then the yellow turned out too bright for the big parts; so I overdyed them to ochre.
Gauge: 34 rows = 10cm
August 28: The stripes for front and back are done and Iused about 3/4 of my yarn. So there is something left for the sleeves.
February 02: The yellow yarn ist spun now. Started to join the stripes. Hm, the yellow yarn is very bright indeed. I think, I’ll better overdye somthing of it to softer brown.
March 05: It is taking shape. Torso and neckline are completed. I added a piece to one sleeve in pink and purple, and are working on the second sleeve. For the rest of the sleeves I have only ochre and yellow and maybe some few rows in pink.
What a surprise that it still looks good.
