  • using deep-ish stash yarn

  • I made the first size - with mods (see below) - but this is referred to as 1-2 years and 12-18 months in the pattern

  • some really nicely thought out details

  • Sleeves: I cast on for the 3rd size bc I thought the cuffs were a bit tight - and I haven’t forgotten what dressing a wee one is like! Then re-jigged the number of rounds between increase rounds to arrive at the right number of stitches.

Stalled on this bc I realised that I had 2 different lots and there was a BIG difference between them so ripped back - all except 1 ear and beginning again confounded

  • just folded the ears in two and did a 3 needle bind off to make what I think is a nice shape

Lost a big chunk of yarn (22g) thanks to some horrific slubbing.

Decided to re-jig (shorten) the yoke to make this a size 3-6 months - nothing complicated just worked the raglan decreases over fewer rows

And hood altered to suit smaller size.

Urgh, knots in the 3rd ball of yarn persevere

Neck was too wide (bearing in mind my various mods to make this a smaller size) so used a 4mm crochet hook and chain stitch to pull it in a little.

FO weighs 151g.

Buttons from stash. Would like to try the cute little buttons in the pattern - maybe next time?
