Notes
  1. I wonder if there’s errata for this pattern. I had a problem with 2 sections of the pattern, but maybe it’s me. The garter stitch part seems to be in rows of 5, however, rows 11-18 are a set of 4. Rows 23-34 are a set of 6. I had read other comments by Ravelers, but didn’t find this mentioned as a problem. Perhaps it’s done on purpose for shaping???? I love the yarn but it is a little heavy for this pattern. The yarn shows nice stitch definition, though.
  2. I had a hard time getting this pattern going & had to keep frogging the begining 15 or so rows. Finally I got the rhythm & flow, & the pattern works fine. It helps to use a magnetic pattern board & magnetic strips to mark one’s place in the pattern.
  3. 9/21/12: Couldn’t tell from reading other ravers comments if this scarf is too big or too small (comments vary), so I did an extra row of regular pattern before I began the dec rows. The shawl is plenty long. I didn’t need to increase the width.
  4. I was surprised that the lower edge becomes even at the dec, rather than continuing the wedge shape at the bottom. Schematic shows this. Finished 9/25/12, except for blocking & sewing in the ends.
