Notes

I searched & searched & searched for a yarn store in Siena, Italy. When I finally found one, I felt I needed to buy yarn, even though I didn’t care for the yarn in the store. Am trying the Wellenbaktus pattern for this yarn.
The wavy baktus is an easy pattern & kind of fun. It’s a no-brainer carry along. Unfortunately, I don’t love the colors or feel of the yarn.
8/21/12: Just found the pattern Frangiflutti by edith filzhof. I think I’ll switch my wavy baktus to Frangiflutti. 9/7/12: Yarn calls for sz. 3 needle. I started with 5s & switched to 6s. Think I will frog project & restart with sz. 8 needles & knit the Frangiflutti rather than wellenbaktus.
Photo 4 shows the origianl wellenbaktus AND the newly started (still small on the right) Frangiflutti knit on larger needles.
9/15/12: I frogged the wavy batkus & am knitting the frangiflutti on sz. 8.
April 2013: After a hiatus due to arthritis in wrist, its easier to finish my WIPs, because I’ve missed knitting. Finally finished this project. YEAH!
