I’m trying to knit up my unused stash yarns. Hitchhiker is a fun, easy pattern & I used 420 yards of Brooks Farm yarn that I bought for socks. The pattern calls for 140 yards more yarn than I had, but it worked fine with my amount. My hitchhiker has 33 points & I did the pointy bind off ending. Hitchhiker is a nice, little, unusal batkus-like scarf.
Feb. 2016: Still LOVE this scarf & people complement me on it. Hitchhiker is one of my fav patterns.
