I LOVE to knit with NORO to see how the colors progress. This NORO has long colorways & is mostly cotton, so I hadn’t been able to find a pattern that worked. This one seems perfect. I loved this pattern.
I picked this pattern because there is no sewing together of panels: stitches are picked up as one knits = fabulous. This is fun to knit, just 10 stitches makes it so easy to pick up any time. I don’t have the amount of yarn called for, so I’ll knit until I run out.
Frankie is right: the center circle doesn’t lay flat at first. I tried revising the pattern twice & finally gave up & followed it. Frankie was right that the more rounds that are added the flatter the piece lays.
In the beginning, I was able to blend the colors of most of the joins of yarn skeins. However, since I only had 6 skeins, there were several joins with quite contrasting colors. It was a fun challenge to determine which color to use.
7/16/12: Just have to sew the center circle & tuck in a couple of ends. LOVED doing the 10 stitch pattern .
7/25/12: Done. Saved the sewing of ends for a mindless time. First photo is finished but unblocked Ten Stitch. I really enjoyed this project.
I chose the gradual edging instead of the blunt block edge.
Next time I won’t change color skeins exactly next to each other in the rounds. I thought it would be cool, but I don’t like the finished result. I didn’t dislike it enough to frog, though.
