Notes

Looks like a nice long term project to work on in between other smaller projects.

When you end the dividing area after the first Flower Garden section you are on a RS row, and yet you start the tree section on a WS row. Make sure to add in the extra knit row to get on the proper side. (Or omit the last dividing knit row)

-The cable trees are impressive. It was great to see them pop of the fabric row by row. The branches get spindly and you have to really pay attention- but it’s worth it. Lots of counting!

-Middle section is what it is, a break between two detailed panels.

-The Flower Garden section worried me, it looks far harder than what it truly is. I don’t like the holes that occur at the leaf tips- but it’s minor. Really only one row is painstaking, the crochet pulling up the yarn for the leaves, but the rest is pretty smooth sailing. It’s a really pretty result!

Now that I have one of each panel done I can feel this blanket is going to take longer than I anticipated, but I really enjoy it more than just mindless knits. Each panel is an accomplishment in itself. It’s definitely not the brainless in between project knit I envisioned, but I’m enjoying myself.
