This started out being a standard Riddari but at my last Western Pennsylvania Mushroom Club meeting I got inspired to change it to wine caps. I am still using mostly the same pattern.

I blame Frank Habit for making me try lopi(See Lopaprogress). I was going to try to make sweater exactly like his for myself, but decided to first make a sweater for Todd. I might still copy him anyway! I love his color choices and pretty much imitated them as well as I could!

As stated by some, this runs small, for Americans anyway, but they do give specific measurements.

BTW, the needle size I use is freakishly small. I swear ages ago I used to be a tight knitter.

3/28/12- It’s starting to look like mushrooms! I made some mistakes but the great thing about mushrooms is how randomly shaped they can be.

4/11 - I had to frog a bunch because I was knitting in my usual haphazard way. It’s OK I guess but I might have been done by now.

I am done! Below the photo of the Stropharia rugosoannulata is me with my mushroom button which indicates that I can fairly reliably identify at least 25 varieties of mushrooms. I am looking smugly at Todd who has not yet documented his mushroom prowess even though he is VICE PRESIDENT of the club.

I tailored it a bit. I think the next lopi I make for Todd will be have a bit more ease. I’ll still cut it in, but not quite as much. I also made it a bit longer in back which worked perfectly.
