These felt clogs are for a swap for A Simple Bag, a friend on Flickr and Etsy. She makes amazing purses; I found her wonderful camera straps especially wonderful because I shoot with an old 35mm Yashica camera myself.

She sent me a couple of adorable custom bags and a camera strap, and I’m sending her these clogs and a cute crocheted hat.

FO Notes

The recipient, it turns out, wears size 7. I didn’t know this when I started so I knitted a women’s medium. And I used bulky yarn, too, so I had these babies in the wash on agitate for well over an hour. They’re still not size 7, but I think it’s okay they’re a bit large since they’re slippers.

The fabric is really, really thick and dense, but I think that stockinette stitch felts significantly better and more firmly than garter.
