1/31/14: Why yes, my shawl is asymmetrical with 5 sides instead of 6, and yes that was totally planned… lies through teeth

1/2/14: Like all SW patterns, this pattern is clear and easy to follow. Yet somehow I ended up with a total of 8 rows per section on the first four, it should be 12 throughout. Not sure when I forgot how to count, but I’m not going to frog it at this point. I’ll do repeats of 10 for a few rows before catching up to 12 so the transition will be less noticeable. Luckily I was already planing on it being a little smaller.

12/10/13: Switched to #8 at the beginning of a new set, this yarn is just so much heavier than average worsted and it was feeling too dense for a shawl on #7. I think it will be fine to have a bit denser fabric near the top center.
Really, really loving this. If it wasn’t for giftmas knitting I would be monogamous.

11/27/13: Gauge: 18 sts = 4” on #7 bamboo knitters pride and #8 square, don’t want it any tighter as this yarn is much heavier than pattern yarn. Happy with the fabric at this gauge.
