will use this pattern to pair with Cordially Twinkling Beaded Scales Shawl

Pattern calls for US1, but find it very bendy and fiddly in bamboo will use US2 as I’ve several sets and it can double for cable needle if need be will use the smaller beads I have on hand.
Found notes from another raveler that made this which I found extremely helpful
Did 12 rows of ribbing before starting pattern made cuff shorter, only worked to row 30 before starting thumb gusset
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- If I make these again, thumb should start on row 15 - 20 instead of 30. Cuff is longer than I would’ve like to have been
Opted to do 15 rows ribbing. Instructions for cuff weren’t clear opted for 1ktbl 1 purl. Looking at a translation from the original German did not make it any clearer.
Replace ☆ with asterisk denoting repeats
Pattern instructions state
rib pattern as follows ☆1ktbl, 1 purl☆ (☆1 purl, 1 ktbl☆) ☆to the end of round.
Ribbing started. - 10 rows to compensate for not starting thumb soon enough
Standard bind off used - 18g used for left mitt
Thumb construction is clever. Increase stitches and then knit it with the body of glove, remove the thumb stitches after so many rows and then continue with the body - ribbing picked up on thumbs - I’ll let you know if I like the finished result better than picking up stitches to add the thumb Quoted text
