Because I slipped first stitch on each row I had difficulty picking up enough stitches for button band and collar. Next time I’ll knit first stitch on each row.

Made button holes on left for a boy working upwards on 5th row. K3 (make 3 stitch one row button hole K4) repeat () 4 times.
