Heel turn. sl 1, k18, ssk k1. turn, sl 1 p4 p2tog p1. turn. (13 sts outside gap). 19 sts remain after heel turn.

pu 17 sts on one side, 18 on the other. Decrease gusset/sole to 35 sts (33 for foot, +2 for the slipped edge stitches).
