After a short period of crocheter’s block, I’m back to crocheting. Only now, I’m a bistitchual, since I learned how to knit (it’s a great story, here is how). And it’s great to be able to choose the technique you feel like and have so many options available. So, I’m making a basketweave cowl. The yarn is very interesting, the pattern very simple and it’s going pretty well.

Update 10th October
After a productive (as always) Skype phone call with Luz-de-Luna (have I thanked you enough?), I have finished the cowl! The pattern is very simple up until the last row, the buttonholes are done and now it’s time to choose the buttons and complete the cowl. It looks lovely and feels warm. :-)

Update 4th November
I think it will always take me time to decide what buttons I want for my projects. I just want to be careful and sure I have chosen the right ones. I bought these buttons from Nest, loved the colours, the slightly vintage feeling and the contrast with the colours of the cowl. I sewed them on (sewing buttons can be so Zen) and now it’s finished. It looks beautiful, warm and the yarn is a bit softer after blocking.
