October 20 - only 67 days til Christmas. Time to get knitting on Mom’s stocking socks. She has requested chunky socks and I have lots of the James C Brett Chunky left so I’m going to just start knitting and see how many pairs I can knock out.

Used Judy’s Magic Cast On (no pointy toes!) for 8 sts per needle, increased to 16 per needle.
Knit on 2 circulars, 4.5mm needles
K 30 rows, started heel, 10 rows K1S1/purl
turned at 12, 4 left on needle
Turned and finished heel, then 2x2 ribbing for 50 rows. Stretchy cast off. Done!

Sock#1 weighs exactly 1.5oz
Sock#2 - finished (Oct 28). Off to the Christmas Basket.
If making these for myself I would maybe knit 4-5 more rows on the foot and maybe 5-10 more rows on the cuff. They were a little snug, but should fit Mom perfectly!
