When K3 went on holiday in March to Portugal, her Air B&B was ABOVE A YARN STORE! She doesn’t knit and it was run by two little old men who only opened when they felt like it, but she managed to get into the store and bring me home TWO skeins of worsted weight yarn - yay!!
(I have seriously well-trained friends :) )
Its squeaky acrylic and not really my colours -but I was so touched she thought of me!
Guage is a little tight on my 3.75mm…usually my favourite for worsted socks so i wonder if my knitting is getting tighter after all those fingering weight socks???
Cast on for Adult Small size, still too loose on my skinny foot….May go down to 18 sts per needle…
…stayed w 20, too lazy to frog it. JMCO 10 stitches and increased every other row to 20. Knit in pattern for 48 rows before starting FLKH. (toe-up sock).
FLKH is 1-6-6-6-1 count (that looks bad…but seriously, that’s how the count worked out!)
Knit 21 rows above heel, then increased to 22 sts per row on row 22, then 2x2 ribbing for 10 rows. Cast off loosely. Would perhaps have made cuff a bit longer but hoping to make these sort of matching. Colours are very strong and it would look odd if they were too different!
This may be the most matched set of socks I have ever made!
Dropped one in the lake but that good old squeaky acrylic held up just fine!
