My friend Nicole and I had knitting “playdates” while the kids had swimming lessons this winter. She made this cowl and kindly offered me the pattern. I was fiddling with my Malabrigo Yarn that I scored at the Knit-o-Matic yarn swap in February. Made a sock with it but the yarn was SO soft I couldn’t stop cuddling it! Nicole told me I should make something that could go near my face and wouldn’t wear out like the socks would. So a cowl it shall be!

July 24 - started w braided cowl but braids coming out too skinny, switched to sugar plum cowl. I think this will work much better :)

5.0mm needle, 24 inches (pattern called for 40 but this was WAY too long for me)

Cast on 112 stitches and off to the races :)

Cast on during “Downpour” section of the Thunderstorm MKAL. Could not read charts anymore!!

July 28 - Got my KnitPicks interchangeable needles today from Mr. Ed - such fun :)
Knit 10 rows of 2x2 ribbing and then stocking stitch.
