For some reason the math did not work for me. Luckily i tried it on by using 2 long circular needles & realized early. I used my intuition & cast on again & success!

Notes: (because I want to make another)
A. 5.5 stitches per inch
B. 9 rows per inch
C. Waist 42”
D. Hips 48”
E. Waist to hips 5”

5x42 cast on 210 stitches, then decreased to 198 stitches after it still looked too big. Size 6 needles.
Top waistband- I knit the inside 1 1/4” stockinette, but the ribbed K1, P1 for 1 1/2” Thought this would give a nice stretchiness, but added extra bulk.
Increased every sixth row to 230 stitches.
Kept trying it on & knit to several inches above my knee.
It’s lovely in every way! Looks great with black leggings!
