7/30/2012 Got through the first set of repeats. The cabling at the beginning and end of row 3 makes the ends come out to points. This will be great for the top of the bag (which is what you knit first), but I’m not sure how I’ll be able to sew the ends together if they’re uneven.

8/1/2012 This yarn stinks because it’s been in a wood drawer for over 10 years. Between the wood smell and my wood needles, I don’t like knitting this. I need metal straights!

8/7/2012 Instead of ending on Row 7 as indicated, I kept going through Row 6 to mirror the other end. This way the cables will be roughly the same distance from the top of the bag when it’s sewn together.
