Ball made

• 14 „row“ ball: Wash-Filz It using 7mm hook. Unfelted: ca. 10 cm diameter. Felted once: same. Just a little bit fulled. Felted again, this time using a 95° C wash cycle: just a tiny bit smaller, not felted any more. Repeated this two times, no change. Ball is not fully felted and too floppy because I thought it would felt (and shrink) more when I filled it.

Lesson learned

Crochet doesn’t seem to felt as beautifully as knit. Thus the filling wasn’t enough and the ball stayed baggy and didn’t roll around well.

Conclusion

The cats ignored it largely, except when they wanted to bite and claw and kill it occasionally, but most of the time it lay under the sofa gathering dust. In the end I used it for stuffing my pouf.
