Notes

Tom has been asking for socks for quite some time so I’m taking the leap! I’ve decided to follow this Ann Budd pattern word for word and see where we end up. I’m dong the Adult Large size (cast on 76 stitches). I’m a tight knitter so with a US 2 I’m getting about 8.5 to 9 stitches per inch. That should be okay with this 8 stitches per inch pattern I think. I hope I can end up with a “go to” sock recipe for Tom at the end of this!

So….

Cast on 76
Knit ribbing for 2 inches
Knit straight for 1 inch
Follow pattern from there

He likes them but the ribbing is a little loose. I’m thinking of going down a needle size for the ribbing (and maybe the leg) next time. He’d like a longer leg too.
