Notes

I love that Featherweight gave me the opportunity to try Quince & Co’s yarn, which is wonderful, and Back Bay is such a pretty shade.

This is such an easy, straightforward knit. However, I noticed from the pattern photograph that it looks fairly tight at the underarms, something I’m not so fond of, so I picked up a couple of extra stitches there and decreased them again within the first couple of rows of the sleeves.

When it came to binding off the collar, I quickly decided the usual method didn’t look quite right and plumped for EZ’s sewn bind off instead. It was so time consuming it made me wonder why I was doing it at times, knowing the collar edges were going to be rolling back any way. However, the end result was definitely worth it as I think it looks so much nicer.

So, I reckon completion of this cardi has come at just the right time. Early mornings are taking on an Autumnal air now, but by midday, the temperature is back up to a healthy late Summer heat .. yet another reason why this easy to put on/take off knit is so perfect. Love!
