Finished with 140 stitches

I am using the yarn that I frogged from my coachella. I’ll definitely have enough yarn for a short sleeve version of this. I may try a longer sleeve version if I can.

June 20, 2013: Work on this interrupted because of the Calgary flood and I left it behind.

Sept 6, 2013: Started on this again. Working on the sleeves. I am going to make this long-sleeved; well, as long as I can get them before I run out of yarn. The sleeves really flare out so after 3 rows of knitting (this is when I tried it on) I started reducing:
2 stitches for the next 2 rows
3 rows straight knitting then 2 stitches reduced
then reduce 2 stitches every 9 rows thereafter

used less than 3 skeins for the body (2.8-ish)

Oct 26, 2013: I am technically finished – I have all the knitting done and most of the ends woven in. I’m finding that the reductions in the torso I did are making the back bubble out under the shoulders. I think if I was to make this again I would designate fewer stitches for the back than for the front and not do any of the shaping in the body. I am going to tear back a bit to remove the last reduction to (hopefully) ease the bubbling.

Nov 2, 2012: Taking out that last decrease and turning it into an increase did the trick. It hangs much better now. Next I have to block and then I will post pics.
