Now that I have a fake foot I thought I’d update these pictures. I dyed the yarn myself and have always been disappointed that my webcam couldn’t capture the colors. I am not too lazy to dye yarn and knit a sock, but I AM too lazy to use a tripod.

When I first saw this pattern, I thought “eyeball!”.

I only made one because it needs some major adjustments. But I am determined to make a pair of eyesocks that actually fit.

Please note, it is due to my apparently odd feet, not the pattern.

“Progress” Notes

The “hat” and gusset were very labor intensive. They took an entire day, and I do mean entire. But at least it gets the slow part out of the way first.

I’m not really thrilled with the way my gusset/foot transition looks. I wonder if slipping the first stitches would make it smoother.

The gusset pick-up takes away much needed stretch , and my tidy bindoff doesn’t help matters.

I am rating this project a medium/difficult because I find increasing into 8 stitches on DPNs quite difficult. I even broke a DPN. Perhaps “awkward” would be a more accurate rating.

One Sock Done
I just changed the name because this doesn’t fit!!

Update
Today it fits.
And tomorrow? Who knows?
