I made 12 rows but my work didn’t look right.
Puzzled over it a while and then i realised that I was making my front stitiches around the dc instead of in front.
Undid my work to the foundation row and started again.

29 rows of the pattern, has made a piece long enough for my short leg, but I need to measure it on Cee’s leg to check that it will fit her.
The pattern rows take longer than I expected so I won’t be finished in time for the birthday.
37 pattern rows.

Sc edging-4 rows, 2 sc at top of leg warmer before the first buttonhole, one sc at bottom after last button hole, 8 sc in between 2 stitch wide button holes. 75 stitches = 8 buttonholes
Went down to 2.5mm hook for the 2nd and 3rd rows of the lace edging.

After a short break, I’ve been working on the second legwarmer this week. I felt a bit daunted when I started it, because it took longer than I expected to make the first one (due to my errors and the fineness of my yarn ), but it has grown quickly.
I only have 4 rows of the lace pattern left to do.
If I made these again in such a fine yarn, I would use the larger adult size for width, because I ended up having to make the button band wider instead.
