This is the medium sized bag.
The colour of the yarn is as in the photo with my cat.
For some reason the colour did not record true in the other photos.
I like this pattern. I would use it again.

I modified the strap. Didvided the top stitches by four and spaced the straps in opposite quadrants. Working in rows I decreased each strap section at each end of every row until it was down to two spaces and then continued making more rows the same width until I had the length I wanted. At the end of the first strap I fastened off and then reattached the cotton at the start of the opposite quadrant.
Then I made another strap the same and joined both straps at the top with whip stitch.
I then made a row of sc all around the edges.
I added a button and loop at the top of the bag to close it.

Decrease for straps was (3ch, dc in next dc, continue mesh as in original pattern until last space, dc 2 together in next two dc st. Turn and repeat until the strap is the desired width. )
