I love this pattern-it is so pretty.
Started this project because I really wanted to see how the wool would work up and what the pattern looks like.
It is very soft and lovely.
I need to finish Blossom’s blanket before I do more on this.

I finished sewing the roses on to the cocoon tonight.
Blossom is due tomorrow.
I made an opening in the cocoon by dividing after about 15 pattern rows.
I made an extra 8 chain and turned the work.
After that I worked in rows.
Turning made the pattern look more raised and ridged so I decided to alternate the order of the single crochet and half double crochet stitches from row to row.
This made a flatter fabric.
When I added the roses I varied the size, making some with a base of 7 chain and 3 groups of single crochet and three groups of double crochet (rosebuds) and a few with 13 base chain and the last 9 stitches in this base were trebles ( larger roses)

The beanie is still a bit big for Blossom so I made some extra roses and leaves and put them on a small bonnet that fits her so that she has a matching hat to wear now.
