This is a hat pattern I aim to memorize because it’s a simple construction for a gorgeous result. This is my 3rd hat and I expect I’ll knit another one sometime. The worsted yarn helps for a quick project, and the stitch panels become easier to “read” as you go. My needles are smaller than called for in the pattern because I knit this continental style, which produces a looser gauge for me.

Working on wooden 8” DPNs for the crown decrease was a pleasure. I’ll use these again.
