9/14: swatched on #6. KP wood interchangeable.
Add horizontal bust darts? Will decide as I try it on.
9/18 four inches down the upper back. This yarn twists and sheds a bit. Wonder if I should soak and hang the skeins? The swatch was lovely, fluffed up and did not shed so I will hold off on that thought.
9/19-back done, rt front done to start of faux cable. Bingeing on Grocery Girls.
9/25-Needs horizontal bust darts. I’d like the addl length to keep it from riding up which happens to me. I need to find a tutorial on that. Measured from shoulder to waist in front and back and there is a 4” difference due to being busty. Currently jut above nipple line on the joined front and back. LOVE it!
++++Note: Using Little Red in the City to calculate bust dart logistics. ______________________Insert details
10/9: Read somewhere that recommended knitting in sleeves before adding darts as the sleeves will affect that way the chest and neckline fit. Makes perfect sense. So picked it back up and started a sleeve. Love leaving the wraps unworked. Such a pretty detail. Will put on a keeper cord and try on once all short rows are done. Using #6 Takumi circular for the sleeve thus far.
11/27: Ripped out the sleeve. Gauge issues, arm was somewhere around 20” circumference+.
Take Two: Picked up on #4: 6-21-6-21-6 for a total of 61 sts. Completed short rows on #6. Wound up with 60 sts after short rows completed. Cable underarm looks to be a stitch off but I’m not looking!
Better; arm circumference now is 12” and I know that will loosen up a bit with blocking. Decreases marked with markers starting Q 8 rows.
