Notes

This hat asked to be knit from leftovers from my cowls.
I wanted to show off the lovely jewel colors, and seed st came to mind. I always need a doble layer on the ears, and I like it to sit deep on my head.
Great stash buster!
Provisional CO, 90 stitches in malabrigo.
knit in the round for almost 4” in. (I like it deep on my head. 3” is more normal)
purl one row.
next row start seed st.
use as many colors as you want for 4in. (or 3”)
next row knit stitches from provisional CO together with live st in a regular stockinette.
continue either in one color or in stripes.
I did Fibonacci stripes.
I added a black stripe to remind me that there are some wars going on in the world.
at around 6in from edge start the dec.
I did K8 K2tg, all around.
knit one row without dec.
keep going this way with one less between dec.
when K3K2tg, continue dec rows without the plain row in between.
when you have 8 left, cut yarn and pull through stitches.
