Wanted to try the yarn combo so many people raved about.
3/3/11- had a yarn disaster with the first skein of silk purse. it kept knotting and matting. killed my pleasure of knitting with desperate attempts to undo a giant knot bundle.
there was a lot of yelling and crying. trying to put things in perspective, (its just a rouge skein of silk) but when your source of calm and meditation turns on you- where will you go??

its a tube. Knit with one strand of each yarn held together.
begin with stockinette for 7” and then switche to K4P4 ribbing. the pattern says to knit the rib for 22”, total cowl 29” to be able to wear as scarf.
3/8/11 all done- total lenght at 22”. I did not go to 29” because I lost yardage with the tangle, and frankly I was never going to use it a short scarf.
probably could have made it shorter, but wanted to be sure to be able to use it as a hood, and it its fine.

the yarn combination IS amazing!!
