• Convert 2x2 ribbing to 1x1 by knitting one round as follows: k1, p1, exchange the next two stitches so that the k stitch twisted in front of the p stitch.
• switch to slightly larger needles, 3mm.
• Work one round knitting knit stitches and slipping purl stitches with yarn in front. Work one round slipping knit stitches with yarn in back, purling purl stitches.
• repeat last two rounds.
• Note to self: re-seat purl stitches to standard orientation
