Things I did differently this time:

Re-worked the numbers to increase the length of the hand to cover more of the fingers overall and at the recipient’s request, make the fingertip edge diagonal.

Not the most inspired of colour schemes, but in alpaca and cashmere, one that recipient is likely to wear.

Am picking up and working the wrap on all stitches. I think it hides the short rows much better.

Did not slip first stitch of each row. Instead, worked a normal knit stitch. See my Short-Wave Mitts 2 for details.
