I started to make these with Lion wool-ease thick and quick, but the ribbing was too bulky. So, I tinked it! I had some of this Lion Heartland in my yarn stash, so I am holding the yarn doubled. I really dislike acrylic yarn, because it really does a number on my hands, but I need to use up this yarn, and it is for a gift.

These really are fast to knit up. I have been busy, so I needed to put them aside for a few days but if I didn’t have to, they would have been finished in a day. I knit the ribbing for 1.5” and then did only 2 repeats of the cable pattern. I also used size 9 needles for ribbing and size 10 needles for the cable pattern, since I did not have 10.5 needles. I held the yarn doubled throughout the project.

These came out really cute! Not too bulky either. Becki is really going to like them.
