Notes

Test knit.

24th: Blocking - an enjoyable knit, and even the ‘wrong side’ looks nice (shown in photos - I usually try to include a reverse side pic for cowls and scarves, as I am always curious about how they look myself).

This design makes a cute little cowl with a pretty stitch pattern that you can whip up in no time! (so perfect for gift knitting).
Also I learned something new along the way - how to do I-cord buttonholes - yay, it’s the future :)

My gauge changed a little after blocking with wires, so it’s slightly larger than the pattern states; finished measurements are 22.5in by 7.75in (57x20cm).
This yarn is quite a sturdy/woolly DK, which helps keep the shape. Also I love how it looks with the bottom button open - it creates a little extra width around the base of the neck, which makes it sit really well.

Raided the button stash - I was initially going for blue, but then found these butterfly ones which I thought echoed the shape of the stitch pattern nicely…
